Bag Maker: Holland Pouch

Join us for our brand-new Bag Maker: Holland Pouch class, a fun and creative four-hour session where you'll learn to make the stylish and functional Holland Pouch—a quilted, boxy pouch perfect for all your organizational needs!

This pattern from Center Street Quilts offers three versatile sizes, each requiring just three fat quarters of fabric, making it easy to customize your pouch to fit your style. The quilted finish adds a luxurious touch while also providing extra stability for a professional look.

What You’ll Learn:

In this class, you'll learn how to construct the Holland Pouch, including quilting your fabric for added stability, sewing a boxy pouch shape, and inserting a zipper with ease. You'll also get tips on working with different fabric choices and achieving a polished, professional finish. Perfect for all skill levels, this class will give you the confidence to create beautiful, functional pouches for organizing or gifting!

Recommended Experience:

This class is great for confident beginners and up! Basic sewing machine knowledge is required, but no prior bag-making experience is necessary. If you're comfortable sewing straight seams and eager to learn new techniques like quilting fabric and inserting zippers, this class is perfect for you!

Supply List:

To ensure you have everything you need for success, please bring:

• A sewing machine in good working order, 1/4" foot, along with sewing machine accessories, attachments, and manual.
• Sewing basics: rotary mat, rotary cutter, quilting ruler, coordinating thread, pins, marking pen, seam ripper, and small scissors.
• Spray Adhesive 505 Temporary Adhesive
• Pattern: Holland Pouch by Center Street Quilts
• Materials: Fabrics as noted below, and small woven tags if desired. Kits available through Pink Door Fabrics - come see our selection in-store!)
