Village Quilt Class

Welcome to Pink Door Fabrics' very first class offering! Join us in-person as we embark on a fun and skill-building journey to create the beautiful Village Quilt by Laundry Basket Quilts. Whether you're crafting a cozy Winter Village or a vibrant Summer Village, this class is designed to strengthen your foundational quilting skills while guiding you through the steps to complete your project.

What You’ll Learn:

This three-part class is a comprehensive review of quilting basics and techniques:

• Class 1: Cutting basics, how to cut following a pattern, organizing your pieces, mastering a 1/4" seam, and pressing techniques.
• Class 2: Block assembly, working with half-square triangles (HSTs), and achieving precision.
• Class 3: Constructing quilt columns, adding borders, and exploring applique methods.

Recommended Experience:

This class is perfect for quilters looking to refresh their skills or advance their confidence in quilting. Students should already be familiar with their sewing machine.

Supply List:

To ensure you have everything you need for success, please bring:

• A sewing machine in good working order, along with its accessories, attachments, and manual.
• Quilting basics: rotary mat, rotary cutter, quilting ruler, coordinating thread, pins, and small scissors.
• Pattern: Winter Village or Summer Village by Laundry Basket Quilts.
• Size: 53" x 66"
• Fabric: Bring a quilt kit or fabric as specified in the pattern (kits available through Pink Door Fabrics - Summer Village or Winter Village)

• Reservation Payment: Payment in full is required at the time of booking.
• Cancellation Policy:
  • You may cancel your class or activity reservation up to 72 hours in advance for a full refund.
  • If you cancel with less than 72 hours' notice, we will offer store credit only, provided we are able to fill your spot.
• Supply Lists: If applicable, supply lists will be available to download upon signing up for your class or activity.
